Thank you for supporting Gateway Studio 54, the
2019 Cures Gala! This glamorous event raised an impressive $4.2 million to fund
transformational clinical cancer research. With 99 cents of every dollar
donated to Gateway directly funding early phase, patient-centered trials, the
night left an undeniable mark on the fight against cancer.
Gateway-funded trials give healing
and hope to patients such as Kent Thomas, Maddy Oliver and Luke Carusillo who
shared their inspiring stories at the Cures Gala and illustrated the value of
giving to Gateway.
We were honored to present the
inaugural Global Humanitarian Award to Kristen Hertel and Muneer Satter of the
Satter Foundation for their passionate commitment to overcoming some of the
most important challenges facing society today, investing in innovative ideas
and research to create a world in which all people have the resources to live a
free, prosperous and healthy life.
From patient stories that remind us why funding cancer research is so
important, to unbelievable performances from noted entertainers like Grammy
Award winning artist CeeLo Green, The Sugarhill Gang, and Tony Vincent, Gateway Studio 54 was a
night of giving, good vibes, and great memories.
Thanks to generous underwriting
from hosts Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson, all proceeds from the event
will fund clinical cancer trials around the world.
